Engineer first.
Product second.
Both, always.

Austin Gregory

I'm an engineer at heart. I love to code, I love to build. The more time I spent with internal business partners and vendors, the more I realized I also love the other half of the job — building relationships and coordinating with dev teams. Or, as they put it in Office Space: “I take the requirements from the business to the developers.”

I think that combination is what I bring to the product space — a solid software-engineering background paired with a minor in general business. I specialize in building relationships, capturing what our internal customers actually want, and making sure what we promise is technically viable. Today I lead product for enterprise workforce management and contact-center platforms at Southwest Airlines. Off the clock I buildMyndfoldandcntct.space— keeping the engineering muscles sharp.

AI-aided coding is the future and I'm building with it daily — Claude Code, Codex, Gemini / Antigravity, and a local inference rig hosting my own models. The throughline I keep coming back to is simpler than the tools: don't stop learning. The stack will shift again next year. What matters is staying willing to pick up the new thing.

Senior Product Owner / Southwest Airlines

Own product across two workforce-management platforms (Aspect WFM and Infor WFM) plus the integrations tying them to the live contact-center ACD — serving 3,000+ agents across 10+ business units. Forecasting, bidding, scheduling, shift trading, and payroll, all under strict union-contract constraints.

  • Solo-led the 2022 concurrent migration of Aspect WFM from on-prem to Aspect cloud while simultaneously swapping the underlying ACD from Aspect to Avaya — vendor coordination, integration, and testing all owned alone.
  • Led the WFM-integration portion of the enterprise Avaya → Amazon Connect cutover (real-time adherence, data flow, connection testing). Delivered the Amazon Connect → WFM pipeline integration in ~15 business days against an original 3-month plan, for 10+ business units and 3,000+ users.
  • Currently leading the Aspect platform's cloud-to-cloud migration from GCP → AWS — managing vendors and customer stakeholders, weighing risk, and driving the parallel push to evaluate and purchase Aspect's AI add-ons.
  • Currently product owner on the in-flight Infor WFM platform upgrade — managing the vendor relationship, customer expectations, and the UAT timeline through a large-scale upgrade.
  • Internal AI evangelist — driving adoption of AI-aided coding tools across engineering, coaching product managers, analysts, and business partners on practical AI workflows. Presented at director-level forums to large audiences.

AI Adoption Across Product & Engineering

Initiative · Southwest Airlines

Internal evangelist for practical AI inside a Fortune-100 enterprise. Driving adoption of AI-aided coding tools across engineering teams. Coaching product managers, analysts, and business partners on day-to-day AI workflows that actually move the needle. Presenting the case for emerging tools at director-level forums to large audiences. The evangelism is credible because I build with these tools daily — Claude Code, Codex, and a local inference rig powering my personal projects.

Solo Migration: Aspect On-Prem → Cloud + ACD Vendor Swap

Platform · Southwest Airlines

Led — alone — the concurrent migration of Aspect WFM from a hosted on-prem environment to Aspect's cloud, while simultaneously swapping the underlying ACD from Aspect to Avaya. One person, two vendors, two cutovers, no parallel team. Coordination, integration, and testing all owned end-to-end.

Meshtastic Mesh Network

RF · Off-grid comms

Long-range LoRa mesh nodes I built and deployed to keep comms alive when the cell network and the internet aren't. Custom solar setup runs them indefinitely, 3D-printed weatherproof enclosures of my own design, and at least one node lives roof-mounted for line-of-sight reach.
